Students: elementary, middle and high school students
English and ESL for students of all ages
The goal of this course is to develop students’ reading comprehension and vocabulary. We will be reading everything, from news articles, to fiction (short stories and books), creative pieces (poetry, scripts and songs) and more! Students are encouraged to bring reading material to class we can analyze and discuss together. I’m open to all genres and forms, and I love recommendations — both classic and contemporary!
Learn and Play! for students of primary school age
The goal of these sessions is to spend positive time with students, engaging them in play while learning. Together, we will be developing creativity, exploring identity and learning English through inventive games and art-making. Objectives can be further discussed with parents. Few materials needed!
Developing the Editorial Eye for students of high-school-level and college-level reading skills
The goal of this course is to improve students’ writing skills through editing a variety of written work. We will approach articles, fiction and creative writing with an editorial eye — learning how to spot common grammar mistakes, better organize language and critique writing style. Students are encouraged to bring their own writing to class for us to analyze, discuss and revise together!
